Covenant House Missouri Announces Transition of CEO

After four years of serving as CEO of Covenant House Missouri, Jessica Erfling has announced she will transition out of her role in February 2023.

In an announcement to the community, she shared, ”I am proud of what we have accomplished together during my season of service. I feel a strong sense of optimism about the future for CHMO. I am committed to having the organization in a great position to continue and fulfill its potential as we embark on our next twenty-five years of services to youth in the St. Louis Community.”

Since joining Covenant House Missouri in 2018, Erfling has helped grow support services for youth, led the creation of comprehensive programming, and increased revenue to ensure organizational success for years to come. Under her direction, Covenant House Missouri received its first $1M gift from an individual and saw employee retention rate increase to 80% against industry average of 53%.

Erfling will continue to lead CHMO as the Board of Directors searches for the next CEO. “While serving, I’ve learned that even as we make great progress there is no finish line in this work; the sense of possibility is renewed every time a new young person walks through the door.”
